City Council Approves FY 08-09 Budget The Jacksonville City Council approved a balanced budget for the 2008-09 fiscal year on Tuesday, Sept. 24. The new budget was passed without significant changes and includes full funding for The Jacksonville Journey, a comprehensive, community-wide anti-crime initiative. Other top priorities in the budget are cleaning up the St. Johns River and growing Jacksonville's economy. For details, click here.
